National review of wetland mapping and inventory information

The National Land and Water Resources Audit ("the Audit") provides data, information
and nationwide assessments of Australia's land, water and biological resources to support
sustainable development.

Proposals are sought to undertake a national review of wetland mapping and inventory
information and the development of a standards manual for an Australian Wetland
Inventory. The project will review wetlands mapping and inventory datasets from all
jurisdictions in Australia providing details of extent, scale, methodologies used and existing
standards for wetland data collection and reporting. Outputs include a spatially enabled
product which links metadata with spatial extent of the inventory information as well as a
draft Protocols and Standards Manual for an Australian Wetland Inventory.

The successful proponent will demonstrate an understanding of the project brief; proven
track record with experience and capacity to achieve deliverables within the defined
timeframe; capacity to gather and coordinate input from a range of sources across Australia;
relevant experience in information management and natural resource management; and an
ability to work independently whilst consulting with key stakeholders.
