The LWA Prize for Water Research and Innovation has been awarded to a team led by CSIRO's Professor Shahbaz Khan through the Water for a Healthy Country Flagship for improving our understanding of river systems, identifying where water is being lost, and increasing the efficiency of irrigated agriculture
The research is being used by communities in the Coleambally, Murrumbidgee and Murray irrigation areas, adopted through the National Water Commission, and used in the Yellow River Basin in China.
