The Knowledge for Regional NRM Program, funded by the Natural Heritage Trust, has officially completed more than three years of work. We are happy to announce, however, that with backing from Land & Water Australia, the Program will continue in 2008-09 with Nerida Hart and Alison Carter staying on for the short term. Also, Pam Cunningham, the AANRO manager at LWA, will take on a technical support role and assist with maintaining the products of the Knowledge for Regional NRM Program. The rest of the team will maintain a presence with the RKRK and NRM Toolbar communities.
Over the next 12 months, Nerida Hart will be seeking out possible collaborative investment and alternative sources of funding for the products and services of the Knowledge for Regional NRM Program. We welcome all ideas from our innovative NRM community about potential sources of funding for these great products and services. After all 'it's the people that make a difference' - money cannot work without the passion and commitment of the people.
The Program team would like to thank all who have been involved and we encourage you to keep up the good work you are doing to improve the way you manage information and value the knowledge within your organisations. Best of luck to those who are moving on to different roles in the new financial year.
