It is designed to be used as part of a facilitated group, or by individual producers. It can also be of value to farmers with other enterprises. The manual contains six NRM modules that can be selected for monitoring:</p> <ol> <li>GRAZING PADDOCKS &ndash; this module looks at 16 key measures of pasture health and is a practical way to measure and compare different paddocks.</li> <li>SOIL HEALTH &ndash; 12 measures of soil health including chemical, biological and structural aspects are examined in this module.</li> <li>WOODY VEGETATION &ndash; this module looks at 11 measures of the health of woody vegetation and can be used on both existing and revegetated areas.</li> <li>WATERCOURSE AREAS &ndash; 4 key measures of watercourse health are examined in this module which are useful for stream and creek regeneration works.</li> <li>BIRDS &ndash; bird counts in targeted areas are covered in this module, which can be a useful way to track population changes over time.</li> <li>PADDOCK PRODUCTION &ndash; this module measures carrying capacity over the year in DSE days/ha and DSE days/ha/100 mm rain.
