NPSI/IAL Fellowship <p>The NPSI/IAL Travel Fellowship Award enables young professionals within the irrigation industry the opportunity to travel overseas to undertake research and gain experience and knowledge. The Travel Fellowship is awarded yearly and is jointly funded by the National Program for Sustainable Irrigation and Irrigation Australia Limited.</p> <!--break--> 2008-06-26T23:50:41Z 2010-03-08T22:46:17Z <p>Past recipients of the Fellowship: </p> <ul> <li><strong>2008 Kimberley Graham</strong><br /> Travelled to Brazil and China to examine how these divergent countries approached irrigation policy. This study included examining views of the Australian irrigation community to policy development in Australia. </li> <li><strong>2007 Anna Price</strong><br /> Examined how Brazil, Philippines and Mauritius manage the integrity and allocation of their water resources in the extremes of a tropical climate, particularly in relation to irrigation. </li> <li><strong>2006 Steven Falivene</strong><br /> Visited Israel and the USA looking at irrigation in citrus </li> <li><strong>2005 Renee Fielke</strong><br /> Travelled to California and Arizona looking at water management and water use efficiency </li> <li><strong>2004 David Allen</strong><br /> Geophysics for the Irrigation Industry</li> </ul> <ul> <li>To provide professionals within the irrigation industry the opportunity to travel overseas to gain experience and knowledge in their nominated area of interest</li> <li>To report the travel fellowship winner's travel and study program in newsletters for the various irrigation programs and associations and to disseminate the outcomes and learnings of the fellowship broadly</li> </ul> CID7
