In its continuing investment in the vegetation arena, Land & Water Australia has published its Native Vegetation and Biodiversity R&D Program Plan for the current five year planning time frame. The 2005 — 2010 program plan identifies the context, outcomes and activities of this new program.
The Native Vegetation and Biodiversity Program evolved from ten years of funding in the vegetation arena. The new program recognises that vegetation management aligns strongly with managing biodiversity values and their corresponding ecosystem services which maintain the health of our production landscapes.
The program will have a strong emphasis on informing policy with science and ensuring that the knowledge obtained from research is effectively communicated, to empower land managers to make better vegetation management decisions.
For more information about the native Vegetation and Biodiversity Program's research questions, activities and expected outcomes, order or download your copy of the plan.
