This work plan seeks to address a number of major challenges in this area, namely to:
- develop clearer conceptual frameworks in which to use and interpret socio-economic data for policy and program management purposes;
- identify relevant socio-economic indicators to support NAP/NHT program monitoring and evaluation;
- better document the links between natural resource condition, farm management practices/ land use and the socio-economic factors which influence their adoption – including participation in NRM programs;
- coordinate data infrastructure, integration and data collection, and
- deliver reporting products which integrate socio-economic and natural resource condition data.
