What is Integration and Adoption of R&D Results at the Catchment Scale
The Integration and Adoption Program aimed to develop ways and means to help researchers, community groups and the agencies serving them to find suitable ways of fully adopting the results of research and development into catchment management.
Objectives
- Integrated Adaptive management
To develop and provide tools and adaptive management processes which will assist catchment groups, landholders and other resource managers explore, adopt and integrate , within the context of their planning and implementation activities, the range of research results available for natural resource management.
- Integrated information management
To develop and provide tools which will assist catchment groups, landholders and other resource managers maintain and manage the accumulated wealth of knowledge, both technical and indigenous, relevant to improved management of natural resources in their local regions.
- Integrated scientific processes
To improve the level of understanding of interrelationships between different biological, physical and social scientific relationships and to integrate these understandings into improved research, policy and program implementation activities.
