An East Gippsland farm three kilometers inland from the coast isn’t a place one would normally expect to find a paddock of Old Man saltbush, but that doesn’t worry Rick Robertson. Productive and sustainable salt-tolerant pastures for Victoria

Closely aligned with the South Australian project, Productive and sustainable salt-tolerant pastures for Victoria focused on improving the productivity of saltland pastures. The primary focus was on the high rainfall, tall wheat grass-based pastures used on moderately saline land in Victoria with additional effort directed towards legume improvement, weed management and different pasture species options. The site was located at Dunkeld in the Western District of Victoria.
