A two-day workshop on Indigenous cultural values and water resource management was held at CSIRO in Darwin, NT in April 2006, with the aim of exploring what Indigenous managers of water resources in northern Australia could learn from other regions where water has been developed.

Indigenous community consultation for the Kimberley Groundwater Sub-areas Water Management Plan

The project aims to consult with, inform and engage Indigenous organisations and Traditional Owners in the water planning and decision making processes used to develop the La Grange Groundwater Management Plan. By working with all stakeholders, it is hoped that new approaches will be jointly developed to enable Indigenous people to actively engage in water planning.
